Clemson Defeats Florida State for Crucial Late Season ACC Win

Clemson’s PJ Hall scored 20 points to lead his team to a dominant 94-54 victory over Florida State in an Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) game held at Clemson’s Littlejohn Coliseum on Wednesday night. This victory marked Clemson’s largest-ever margin of victory in an ACC game.

The win was crucial for the Tigers (19-7, 11-4 ACC), as it kept them near the top of the ACC standings with five league games remaining, three of which will be played away from home. The 11 wins in ACC play tied the program record and allowed Clemson to sweep the season series against Florida State (8-19, 6-10) for the first time since the 2009-10 season.

Matthew Cleveland, Florida State’s top scorer and rebounder, was unable to play due to back spasms, leaving the Seminoles very under-manned.

Looking ahead, Clemson is scheduled to play against Louisville on Saturday, while Florida State will host Boston College.
